Mother Fire began with a deeply personal journey. After a five-year break as a stay-at-home mom, our founder Dàra Gunsch faced the daunting challenge of re-entering the workforce. Like millions of mothers, she encountered not just professional hurdles, but also struggled with mental health challenges that came with balancing motherhood and career aspirations.
During this period, Dàra discovered a profound truth: the systems meant to support mothers were fragmented, often inaccessible, and rarely addressed the full spectrum of a mother’s needs. She envisioned a solution that would bring together cutting-edge technology with genuine human empathy — a platform that could understand and adapt to each mother’s unique journey.
This vision attracted two equally passionate leaders: Ivan Wong, whose expertise in ethical AI could help democratize access to support, and Emma Nge, whose experience as a single mother relocating across the country brought valuable insights into building meaningful partnerships and cross-cultural connections.
Together, they built Mother Fire with a simple yet powerful belief: when you support a mother, you strengthen entire communities. Today, Mother Fire stands as more than a platform – it’s a movement that combines artificial intelligence with human compassion, creating a space where every mother can access the resources, community, and support they need to redesign their lives and unlock their full potential.
